Alameda Quilt Guild at Corica Park

If you’ve visited Corica Park on a recent weekend, you may have heard the buzzing of sewing machines as you walked by our lounge and classroom area. Your ears did not deceive you-that’s the Alameda Quilt Guild in action learning new skills and turning those skills into new creations.

The Guild hosts workshops the second Saturday of every month at the course and we love welcoming like-minded groups who are committed to lifelong learning and building community. They are one of the many groups helping us reimagine space use at Corica Park.

It was the spouse of a long-time Corica Park golfer who heard about our programs and asked to host her quilt guild’s workshops in our classroom. It’s an example of golfers enjoying the space in new ways and of us expanding our reach by introducing new communities to Corica Park.
